A veneer is a thin porcelain shell that is bonded directly to the top of teeth. Veneers are cosmetic tooth restorations that are used to cover chipped teeth, correct space between teeth, shape small or misshapen teeth, or whiten stained or discolored teeth.

Veneers are individually crafted for each patient, these cosmetic enhancements are made from advanced material that closely resembles the appearance of natural dental enamel. Therefore veneer procedures require two appointments. At the first appointment, the teeth are slightly reduced and shaped to prepare them for the veneer. An impression is made of the prepared teeth, and a mold is sent to the dental lab. At the second visit, your dentist will place the veneers on the prepared teeth using a strong dental adhesive.
